yamsh (pronounced "yam shell") is a new shell based on principles from Windows Powershell, JSON, Python, and traditional UNIX scripting. The governing idea is to make data exchange between apps, the shell, etc. as consistent, discoverable, and standardised as possible. 90% of scripting is adapting the output of one tool to the expected input format of the next; one of yamsh's goal is to get that down to 50% and lower.
yamsh is currently in vaporware status (but I'm working on that).
